It’s 1984, and high school is almost over. Rush Murphy is a shy artist who hides behind his long bangs - both literally and figuratively - as he pines for his crush, Julie, and dreams of one last carefree summer. He and his crew of misfits hatch a plan to sell weed and make the most of their fleeting teenage freedom. But when a reckless, easygoing adventure spirals into chaos, Rush is forced to face the one thing he’s been running from - growing up.

Paul Whittle is a St. John’s, NL based writer who was the winner of the Fresh Fish Award for a collection of unpublished short fiction. His writing has been published in Best Kind, TickleAce, The Newfoundland Quarterly and other anthologies.
Luke Callanan is a St. John’s, NL-based illustrator. His illustrations and graphic designs include work for Riddle Fence and an award winning public outreach piece for the city of St. John’s.
